About the Opportunity

The Remote Payment Services Representative role is integral to managing customer payments, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position ensures the timely resolution of billing inquiries and supports a seamless payment experience for commercial clients, contributing directly to the organization’s cash flow accuracy, balance sheet integrity, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Communicate proactively and diplomatically with B2B customers regarding outstanding account statuses, pending payments, and historical balances
• Respond professionally to high-volume billing inquiries and payment discrepancies via phone and email channels
• Record, post, and reconcile customer payments (ACH, checks, and wire transfers) accurately within the core financial system
• Investigate, research, and resolve complex payment variances, short-payments, and formal billing disputes
• Maintain and regularly audit master customer account profiles, credit terms, and contact information
• Prepare, verify, and distribute accurate commercial invoices, credit memos, and monthly financial statements
• Collaborate internally with regional sales and service teams to align contract terms and maximize billing accuracy
• Comply strictly with internal accounting controls, corporate financial policies, and data privacy regulations

Requirements

• Proven professional experience operating within accounts receivable (A/R), commercial collections, corporate billing, or customer-facing financial services
• Strong verbal and written communication skills suited for professional client negotiation and dispute resolution
• Excellent organizational and task-prioritization skills with an uncompromised attention to numerical detail
• Functional proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on data filtering and basic formulas in Excel
• Demonstrated ability to work productively and manage time effectively within an independent, fully remote work structure
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution capabilities to navigate difficult financial conversations calmly

Preferred Qualifications

• Practical experience navigating dedicated Customer Relationship Management (CRM) databases or corporate accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP)
• Prior experience handling billing or customer service within industrial distribution, logistics, or heavy machinery sectors

Pay Range and Compensation Package

Target baseline hourly compensation framework: $17.00 to $23.00 USD per hour. Final hourly positioning within this band is calibrated dynamically based upon the candidate's core accounts receivable tenure, accounting software proficiency, and financial customer service evaluation outcomes.
