About the role

The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner provides telehealth mental health services, primarily to adults and adolescents, focusing on conditions such as depression, anxiety, and ADHD. They conduct assessments, create care plans, prescribe medications when appropriate, and collaborate with clients to manage their treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform psychiatric evaluations and ongoing assessments via telemedicine
  • Prescribe medications to alleviate mental health symptoms
  • Develop and collaborate on individualized care plans
  • Complete necessary documentation and assessments in accordance with guidelines
  • Adhere to clinical practice standards and consult with regional staff

Qualifications

  • Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with board certification
  • Master's degree in Nursing with active prescriptive authority in the practicing state
  • Minimum of one year psychiatric practice experience; three years preferred
  • Willingness to treat clients aged 14 and above
  • Understanding of EMR systems such as AdvancedMD is advantageous
