Remote - Insurance Services Representative I

About the role

Insurance Services Representative I is responsible for collection and resolution of outstanding insurance receivables including but not limited to unpaid, denied and underpaid claims. Insurance service representatives must communicate effectively, while accurately and efficiently handling high claim volume. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values and Mercy Service Standards.

Responsibilities

• Collect and resolve outstanding insurance receivables (unpaid, denied, and underpaid claims)
• Handle high claim volume accurately and efficiently
• Communicate effectively with insurance providers and internal teams

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• Computer and keyboarding skills

Qualifications

• Prior EPIC Resolute Hospital Billing or Ambulatory experience (preferred)
• Prior Revenue Cycle Healthcare billing or insurance experience (preferred)
• Basic Microsoft Excel and Word knowledge (preferred)
• Strong communication and customer service skills (preferred)
