Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for pavements, earthworks, drainage, and general roadworks projects.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Analyse project documents to identify materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor requirements.
  • Develop competitive and accurate quotes for clients based on project scope and timelines.
  • Maintain and update cost databases, pricing sheets, and estimation templates.

Technical Review & Documentation

  • Review engineering drawings, site plans, and tender documents to ensure full understanding of project requirements.
  • Identify potential risks, omissions, or discrepancies in project documentation.
  • Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost breakdowns, and supporting documentation for proposals.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to clarify scope and confirm assumptions.

Client & Internal Coordination

  • Communicate with clients to gather missing information, clarify requirements, and provide updates on quotes.
  • Cook up with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and availability.
  • Support the operations team by providing cost insights and recommendations during planning and execution.

Process & Quality

  • Ensure all estimates align with company standards, industry best practices, and safety requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of estimation processes, tools, and workflows.
  • Maintain organised records of estimates, revisions, and submitted proposals.
