Estimator
Job Summary
The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive proposals for doors, frames, and hardware based on project specifications and customer requirements. This role involves reviewing architectural drawings, performing material take-offs, and maintaining awareness of upcoming construction opportunities. The Estimator collaborates closely with both clients and internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from pre-construction to project execution. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for building customer relationships and supporting overall project success.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintain and help build lasting customer relationships through excellent service and responsiveness.
- Manage and track upcoming construction projects and bid opportunities.
- Perform material take-offs, identify relevant drawings and review architectural specifications.
- Prepare clear, accurate and competitive proposals for customers.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and win projects through consultative selling.
- Cookordinate with internal project teams to ensure seamless project handoff and clear communication for successful execution and customer satisfaction.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
- In office environment
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Planned Business Travel
This job requires less than 10% planned business travel.
Education and Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- An associate or bachelor’s degree, preferred.
- 4 to 7 years of experience in the commercial door, frame, and hardware industry.
- Proven experience in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
