REMOTE Default Reporting and Analytics Analyst

What You’ll Do

  • C Conduct a root-cause analysis on identified issues, take ownership of the issue from identification to resolution including communicating possible downstream implications.
  • Determine the exceptions and report requirements needed to ensure accurate default reporting.
  • Work closely with default management on identified issues or regulatory changes and analyze business processes to recommend improvements to correct data reporting errors.
  • Validate and troubleshoot exception reports and default data from the system of record to ensure any discrepancies are being identified.
  • Perform data analysis to ensure accuracy before delivery to internal and external customers.
  • Alter existing reports to provide data for ad-hoc business needs.
  • Create and maintain documentation of processes (i.e., job aides, reports, and procedures) and ensure they are up to date and accurate as all times per department policy.

What You’ll Need

  • A high school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Three plus (3+) years’ experience in multiple functional areas within loan servicing, preferably within default.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience with data analysis and auditing large sums of data and identifying discrepancies.
  • A strong working knowledge of loan servicing terminology.
  • A working knowledge of prominent loss mitigation programs and default timelines (plus).
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft SQL programming and scripting (plus).
  • An ability to navigate loan servicing systems.
  • A proficient skillset in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced skills in Excel (including writing/using formulas such as vlookup, hlookup, etc.) and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • The ability to make decisions that have moderate impact on the department’s credibility, operations, and services.
  • The ability to organize and prioritize their own work schedule on short-term and long-term basis.
  • The ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and management level associates within both internal and external customers.
