Remote Clinical Pharmacy Specialist

Responsibilities

• Manage patient drug therapy according to clinical standards
• Ensure appropriateness of medication orders for patient safety
• Maintain advanced knowledge of medications and disease states
• Serve as a primary resource for drug information and education
• Provide in-depth patient counseling as necessary
• Support training of new employees and develop training materials
• Communicate effectively with colleagues to enhance job performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required
• Doctorate in Pharmacy strongly preferred
• Virginia Pharmacist License required
• North Carolina Pharmacist License can be obtained after hiring
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
• 3 years of experience as a pharmacist required
• Prior clinical pharmacy experience strongly preferred
