Remote Business Generalist — United States

About the role

You will operate as a cross-functional business generalist, owning ambiguous operational problems and turning them into measurable outcomes. This role supports strategic planning, operational cadence, and execution across multiple workstreams (e.g., customer operations, vendor management, internal tooling requests, and performance reporting) across distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain KPI dashboards, weekly business reviews, and executive-ready reporting
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives end-to-end (scope, timelines, risks, dependencies)
• Document SOPs, decision logs, and operating rhythms to improve clarity and execution
• Translate business needs into requirements for product/engineering partners and validate outcomes
• Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements using data-driven analysis
• Support vendor, partner, and customer operations workflows (intake, triage, escalation)
• Improve data quality for operational reporting (definitions, sources of truth, reconciliation)

Qualifications

• 4–8+ years in business operations, program management, consulting, or generalist roles
• Strong analytical skills with Excel/Google Sheets; basic SQL for ad-hoc analysis is a plus
• Experience running cross-functional programs and managing stakeholders across time zones
• Clear written communication, documentation discipline, and comfort with ambiguity
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira/Asana, Notion/Confluence, and BI dashboards
