Location: Remote / Work from Home (Contiguous United States; preference for Missouri residents excluding Kansas City, St. Louis, and Jefferson City)

About the Role

We are seeking detail-oriented and service-driven professionals to support enrollment and eligibility operations for state benefit programs. Counselors are responsible for reviewing applications, verifying documentation, determining eligibility, and maintaining consistent communication with program participants to ensure timely and accurate case processing.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, review, and screen benefit applications
  • Proactively communicate with applicants to obtain missing or outstanding information
  • Verify documentation, validate income, and calculate eligibility determinations
  • Manage case referrals and ensure proper documentation of case activity
  • Educate participants on program services, eligibility criteria, and next steps
  • Maintain daily engagement with program participants
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure service continuity
  • Meet productivity, accuracy, and compliance standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 0-2 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to interpret policies and apply eligibility guidelines
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote setting

Equipment and Technical Requirements

BYOD - Bring Your Own Device

Candidates must provide their own equipment that meets Work at Home technical requirements:

  • Computer / Operating System: Windows 10 (22H2 or higher) or MacOS 12.5 or newer (S Mode must be disabled if applicable). Smartphones, tablets, Chromebooks, and low-performance devices are not supported.
  • Processor: Intel Core i5 or equivalent
  • Memory (RAM): Minimum 4 GB (Preferred: 8 GB)
  • Storage: Minimum 64 GB (Preferred: 128-256 GB SSD)
  • Second monitor required
  • Camera required (must be on during training)
  • USB wired headset with microphone recommended (Bluetooth permitted if wired unavailable)
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection

Requires assessments to be considered for the role. Due to the nature of the role, fingerprinting will also be required (we reimburse up to $25).

Pay

$19.00/hour

Schedule

Training: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM EST for 30 days (attendance required; no time off permitted during training)

Regular Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST
