About the Opportunity
The Remote Assistive Technology Support Analyst role combines operational leadership and hands-on technical support to enhance the quality of care within residential homes for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). This position provides real-time remote assistance, digital coaching, and technology troubleshooting to ensure safety, service quality, and operational continuity. The role is critical in supporting frontline staff and maintaining the effective, seamless use of assistive technology systems.
Responsibilities
- Act as the remote operational lead during assigned shifts for multiple residential homes, supporting Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) with real-time guidance
- Aid with crisis staffing communications, shift handoffs, and daily operational inquiries across locations
- Provide rapid support during urgent situations, assess emergency needs, and escalate to regional leadership following established safety protocols
- Monitor and respond to real-time alerts from integrated support systems, coordinating appropriate, immediate responses with onsite staff
- Document all critical incidents, operational alerts, clinical interventions, and outcomes accurately in the database
- Troubleshoot assistive technology and related systems, including tablets, smart sensors, and local network connectivity issues
- Support the systematic onboarding of residential homes and new users onto assistive technology platforms
- Maintain meticulous logs of system alerts and technical support activities, identifying recurring trends to improve overall service delivery
- Participate actively in technology pilot programs, workflow optimization discussions, and continuous service enhancement initiatives
- Collaborate dynamically with internal healthcare teams while maintaining absolute client confidentiality and compliance with regulatory standards
Requirements
- A high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) equivalency is required
- A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience operating within IDD residential services, behavioral health, caregiving, or direct human services fields
- Strong familiarity with digital platforms, electronic health records (EHR), or specialized remote care monitoring tools
- Prior technical experience troubleshooting smart home devices, IoT hardware, or remote connectivity systems is preferred
Pay Range and Compensation Package
Target baseline hourly compensation: Earn up to $23.00 USD per hour. Final hourly positioning within this framework is determined dynamically based upon the candidate's direct IDD care industry tenure, supervisory background, and technical systems familiarity.
