Remodel Travel Merchandiser

About the role
The Reset Travel Merchandiser supports reset and remodel projects across multiple retail locations by reading and implementing plan-o-grams, placing new items, completing void corrections, and performing special merchandising activities. This role represents Acosta, our clients, and our customers while working as part of a team to deliver high-quality in-store execution. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, quick learner, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced team environment.
Opportunity to travel and support high-impact remodel and reset projects. Hands-on merchandising work in a collaborative team setting. Daily variety with exposure to different store layouts and project types.
Responsibilities
- Read and follow plan-o-grams to complete reset and remodel activity accurately.
- Move and clean shelves, install racks and fixtures, properly display merchandise, and place tags and shelf strips.
- Check date codes, verify plan-o-gram integrity, and assist with pack-outs, restocks, and reorders.
- Partner with store teams and co-workers to ensure merchandising excellence and strong working relationships.
- Prepare, process, and submit required documentation related to assigned projects.
- Demonstrate safe work practices, proper equipment use, and proactively report unsafe conditions.
- Follow all Acosta policies and standard operating procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to read and implement plan-o-grams with accuracy.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and customer service.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with store teams and project partners.
- Comfortable using technology such as smartphones, handheld devices, and web-based applications for scheduling, reporting, and training.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Willingness to work in cold environments (refrigerated/freezer sections) for limited periods.
- High school diploma/GED required.
- 1+ year of experience using planograms; retail reset experience preferred.
- Ability to travel extensively, up to 100%, including overnight stays Sunday through Thursday.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle retail fixtures and merchandise.
- Ability to travel long distances and stay overnight for extended periods.
