Remix Market Retail Sales Associate

Remix Market by The Junkluggers is a second-hand furniture store located in Stamford, CT. We sell gently used furniture and donate profits from the sales to local charities, including Mikey's Way, a foundation that provides extraordinary children battling life-threatening illnesses free electronic devices.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers as they browse through the furniture warehouse.
• Help customers move purchased items to their vehicles.
• Manage inventory and organize items within the warehouse.
• Process payments.
• Drive E-Commerce sales: manage day-to-day online marketplace operations, including customer service, maintain metrics/performance, update and post listings, create and optimize promotions.
• Photograph items, including staging for best images.
• Handle daily posting and responses on social media sites (Facebook, Instagram).
• Discover new marketplaces, test and build new accounts, and serve as project associate to integrate all aspects of partnerships.
• Stay up to date with online seller trends and mechanics.
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a social media content creator: crafting engaging narratives through posts, images, videos, and interactive media.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate using technology.
• Ability and willingness to work with a team.
• Dependability and reliability.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds with ease.
• Friendly, outgoing personality; comfortable engaging with customers and making sales without being overly aggressive.
• Desire to help the community through giving back.
• Strong organizational skills to manage inventory (thousands of items weekly).
• Previous retail or sales experience is a plus.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a bonus.

Pay

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour, with supplemental pay types including bonus pay, commission, and tips.

Schedule

8-hour shift.
