Remanufacturing Technician 2nd Shift

About the role

The Remanufacturing Technician will safely perform disassembly, cleaning, requalification, rework, and assembly operations on Traction Motor Combo components using manual and automated equipment in accordance with quality procedures. This role includes inspecting work to internal inspection criteria for compliance with quality or engineering requirements and performing tasks in support of lean manufacturing principles such as 5S or single-piece flow to required takt time. Special processes like welding or non-destructive testing may be required, necessitating relevant training or certification.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform work in compliance with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures.
• Provide manufacturing support for the manufacture or remanufacture of UX Traction Motor Combo components.
• Utilize manual and automated production equipment, hydraulic or pneumatic tools, and precision measuring devices to ensure products meet specified requirements.
• Inspect components using fixtures, precision measuring devices, or testing protocols to verify compliance with quality or engineering requirements.
• Sign off on process documentation for each work step performed.
• Process components in compliance with internal processing requirements.
• Perform additional duties as required, including special processes like welding or non-destructive testing.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledge of EHS procedures and policies.
• Ability to use manual equipment and hand tools safely.
• Working knowledge of inspection measurement equipment.
• Understanding of manufacturing and quality procedures in a lean manufacturing environment.

Training Requirements

• Safely progress through on-the-job training.
• Successfully complete quality audits to internal procedures on assigned product lines and/or equipment.
• Demonstrate ability to safely complete job tasks using manual or automated equipment and inspection gages.
• Demonstrate ability to document and record inspection results per in-house procedures.
• Maintain acceptable defect rates.
• Complete safety and special process training or certification where applicable.

Physical Demands

• Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Walk, stand, bend, and lift throughout the day.
• Stand for extended periods, including full shifts.
• Work on-site during scheduled shifts to perform daily duties.

Work Environment

• Work is performed in a manufacturing and stockroom environment.
• Exposure to varying temperatures, machinery, powered industrial equipment, and material handling operations.

Pay

$27.50 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM.
