About the Role

This Remanufacturing Supervisor position is based at Plant 3 in Newton, NC. The role involves hands-on supervision of a team of 5 to 12 employees in the remanufacturing of shopping carts, overseeing both skilled and non-skilled workers to ensure efficient production flow.

Responsibilities

• Plan and assign daily activities, train, instruct, and direct employees to maintain smooth and efficient production.
• Coordinate the delivery, unloading, sorting, inventory, and storage of incoming customer shopping carts.
• Oversee the tear down, burn off, shot blasting, and repair of customer shopping carts, and report daily quantities.
• Coordinate transportation of processed carts from remanufacturing (Plant 3) to receiving (Plant 1).
• Manage the collection, separation, and removal of all recyclable materials.
• Ensure work meets or exceeds established quality standards and customer requirements.
• Maintain Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity goals as outlined in the daily production schedule.
• Implement 5S processes in the department.
• Maintain equipment, eliminate unplanned downtime, and ensure preventive maintenance is performed on schedule.
• Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Enforce all Company policies and procedures, including recommendations for hiring, terminations, transfers, promotions, and wage adjustments.
• Foster a positive work environment by maintaining discipline, improving morale, and enhancing employee relations.
• Uphold Wanzl leadership values.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Technical skills and continuous improvement experience preferred.
• Results-driven with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, including manufacturing associates.
