Relief Veterinarian - Emergency/Critical Care

About the role

VCA California Veterinary Specialists in Ontario is seeking an Emergency Clinician to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for emergency care and a desire to work in a specialty setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care to a variety of canine and feline patients
• Collaborate with Surgical, Internal Medicine, Neurology, and Radiology Services
• Work in a modern 14,000 sq ft hospital equipped with advanced technology including MRI, fluoroscopy, laparoscopic, thorascopic instrumentation, endoscopy, multiple ultrasounds, and 128-slice CT with automatic injector
• Support a positive and supportive team environment
• Enjoy a competitive compensation plan including a salary range of $1800-$2100 based on experience

Requirements

• Licensed veterinarian in the state of California in good standing
• Strong communication skills with clients and staff
• Good attention to detail
• Positive attitude and team mentality
• Able or willing to perform routine emergency surgeries

Qualifications

• Extra consideration will be given to candidates with prior internship or emergency medicine experience
• Shifts are available from 12p-12a or 2p-2a
• Rate is $1800-$2100 based on experience
