Relief Veterinarian
About the role
VCA Desert Animal Hospital is seeking Relief Veterinarians to assist with coverage of multiple shifts over the coming months. Located in Palm Springs, CA, our practice is a well-established small animal clinic that handles both routine and urgent care cases.
Responsibilities
- Use superior medical judgment and empathy to provide compassionate care to pets and clients.
- Build a loyal client base through effective communication and service delivery.
- Collaborate with a team of veterinarians and support staff to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- Current veterinary license in good standing.
- Experience in small animal medicine preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
- Passing scores on the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE).
Skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks efficiently.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $1200 to $1400 per shift. Negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials.
Schedule
Shifts vary and can include weekends and holidays. Exact schedule will be determined during the hiring process.
