Relief Veterinarian

About the role

VCA Lakes Region Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Relief Veterinarian to join their team in picturesque Laconia, New Hampshire. The practice is committed to providing progressive medicine with compassion and is located overlooking Paugus Bay, between Lake Winnipesaukee and Winnisquam Lake. The area offers easy access to outdoor adventures within the White Mountain National Forest.

Responsibilities

• Treatment of a variety of animal patients under the supervision of licensed veterinarians
• Performing routine and complex medical procedures
• Assisting with surgeries and anesthesia management
• Providing care and support to clients and their pets
• Participating in staff meetings and continuing education opportunities

Requirements

• Current North American Veterinary Licensing Exam (NAVLE) or North American Veterinary License (NAVL)
• Experience in small animal medicine and surgery preferred but not required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA accredited school
• License to practice veterinary medicine in the state of New Hampshire
