Relief Veterinarian

We're seeking an experienced W-2 Relief / Per Diem Veterinarian to provide coverage across four well-established companion animal hospitals in Central Illinois.

Skinner Animal Clinic: A trusted community hospital providing personalized patient care, strong client relationships, and high-quality general practice medicine.

Lakewood Animal Hospital: A collaborative practice offering comprehensive preventive, medical, surgical, and dental care in a supportive team environment.

Dwight Veterinary Clinic: A well-established 2-doctor, small animal general practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality veterinary care across multiple hospital environments
• Collaborate with different teams to deliver consistent medicine
• Adapt to various practice cultures while maintaining excellent patient care

Requirements

• 3+ years of clinical experience
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an AVMA-accredited college
• Active Illinois veterinary license in good standing (or ability to obtain)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to multiple hospital environments

Pay

$1,200 per shift (plus mileage reimbursement)

Schedule

• Choose your schedule: work 3–4 days per week or approximately 12 shifts per month
• Hours: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:30 PM with a 30-minute paid lunch break, Saturdays 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
