Relief Veterinarian

About the role

The PetIQ Relief Veterinarian provides high-quality preventive care and client education at our weekday and weekend Community Clinics. This position offers the opportunity to practice veterinary medicine in a supportive environment without the pressures of a full-service veterinary setting.

Responsibilities

• On-site Veterinarian care for our weekday and weekend community clinics
• Perform brief medical exams, including vitals
• Administer vaccines, limited diagnostic testing, microchipping, and nail trimming
• Provide educational support to pet parents on preventative healthcare and products
• Update electronic medical records according to PetIQ standards and best practices
• Comply with PetIQ medical standards and best practices
• Ensure adherence to PetIQ procedures to maintain our reputation as a leader in quality affordable preventative healthcare

Requirements

• Must be a licensed DVM in the state
• Ability to drive to various locations
• Weekend availability required
• Ability to use iPad/Tablet

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
