About the role
As an Associate Veterinarian at VCA, you will use your superior medical judgment, combined with empathy, confidence, and humility, to build a loyal client base and heal pets.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to patients and their owners.
- Perform routine and complex medical procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and communicate effectively with clients.
- Participate in continuing education to stay updated on veterinary medicine.
- Collaborate with other veterinarians and support staff to ensure optimal patient care.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited school.
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state where you will be working.
- At least one year of clinical experience in a veterinary setting.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with animals.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and maintain composure.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Skills
- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems.
- Skilled in performing surgical and non-surgical procedures.
- Knowledgeable in preventative care and disease management.
