About the Role
As a Relief Veterinarian at PetIQ, you will provide care for pets without the pressures of a full-service veterinary environment. Whether you are a recent graduate or a seasoned veterinarian, this role allows you to advance veterinary care in your communities by delivering high-quality preventive care and client education at our Community Clinics.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site veterinary care at weekday and weekend Community Clinics.
- Perform brief medical exams, including vitals.
- Administer vaccines, limited diagnostic testing, microchipping, and nail trims.
- Educate pet parents on preventive healthcare and products.
- Update electronic medical records.
- Deliver and perform care up to PetIQ medical standards and best practices.
- Strengthen the PetIQ brand.
Requirements
- Must be a licensed DVM in the state where you intend to practice.
- Liability insurance: $1M per occurrence / $2M aggregate.
- Ability to drive to a variety of clinic locations.
- Weekend availability.
- Ability to use an iPad/Tablet.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
