Relief Veterinarian

About the Role

As a Relief Veterinarian at PetIQ, you will provide care for pets without the pressures of a full-service veterinary environment. Whether you are a recent graduate or a seasoned veterinarian, this role allows you to advance veterinary care in your communities by delivering high-quality preventive care and client education at our Community Clinics.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site veterinary care at weekday and weekend Community Clinics.
• Perform brief medical exams, including vitals.
• Administer vaccines, limited diagnostic testing, microchipping, and nail trims.
• Educate pet parents on preventive healthcare and products.
• Update electronic medical records.
• Deliver and perform care up to PetIQ medical standards and best practices.
• Strengthen the PetIQ brand.

Requirements

• Must be a licensed DVM in the state where you intend to practice.
• Liability insurance: $1M per occurrence / $2M aggregate.
• Ability to drive to a variety of clinic locations.
• Weekend availability.
• Ability to use an iPad/Tablet.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
