Relief Veterinarian
About the role
The PetIQ Relief Veterinarian provides high-quality preventive care and client education at our weekday and weekend Community Clinics. This position offers the opportunity to practice veterinary medicine in a supportive environment without the pressures of a full-service veterinary setting.
Responsibilities
- On-site Veterinarian care for our weekday and weekend community clinics
- Perform brief medical exams, including vitals
- Administer vaccines, limited diagnostic testing, microchipping, and nail trimming
- Provide educational support to pet parents on preventative healthcare and products
- Update electronic medical records
- Deliver and perform up to PetIQ medical standards and best practices
- Enhance the PetIQ brand
Requirements
- Must be a licensed DVM in the state
- Ability to drive to various locations
- Weekend availability required
- Ability to use iPad/Tablet
Minimum Requirements
- Licensed DVM in the state
- Liability insurance: 1M per occurrence/2M aggregate
- Ability to perform essential job functions safely and successfully
- Regular, punctual attendance
