Relief Veterinarian

About the Role

Animal Emergency Center of Yorktown Virginia is expanding and seeking a relief emergency veterinarian to join our team of four veterinarians. We are a privately owned clinic specializing in state-of-the-art emergency and critical care for small animals and some exotic pets. Our services include laser therapy, hospitalization, bloodwork (Abaxis blood machine), and most emergency surgeries.

Schedule

• Wednesday and Thursday overnights: 6 PM – 8 AM or 4 PM – Midnight
• Saturday and Sunday day shift: 8 AM – 6 PM

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency and critical care to small animals and exotic pets as part of a collaborative team.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited university
• Active veterinary state license
• DEA License (preferred but not required)
• USDA Accreditation (preferred but not required)

Ideal candidates are compassionate, team-oriented, and strong communicators with experience in emergency medicine.
