About the role
As an Associate Veterinarian at VCA, you will use your medical expertise, combined with empathy and confidence, to build a loyal client base and heal pets.Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to patients and their owners
- Conduct thorough examinations and develop treatment plans
- Administer medications and perform diagnostic tests
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure patient care continuity
- Participate in continuing education opportunities
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited school
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state where you will be working
- Experience in small animal medicine and surgery
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Passing scores on the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE)
- Completion of a residency program in small animal medicine and/or surgery (preferred but not required)
