Relief Technical Operator
About the role
As a Relief Technical Operator - P Plant, you will work as part of a team in the packing and feeding of biscuits, standing in as a Technical Operator when required. Your responsibilities include manually packing products, visually checking for foreign matter, ensuring quality, adhering to safety standards, and supporting supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Manually pack products within specifications (includes bending, lifting, stretching)
- Visually check for foreign matter / hazards
- Ensure quality of biscuits being packed is within product specifications
- Adhere to all quality and safety standards
- Work to a high standard, enabling plants to achieve planned output
- Report any problems to ATM/Supervisor
- Maintain housekeeping and hygiene standards
- Support the Supervisors in the introduction and support of any improvement initiatives
- Provide a co-ordinated link with all production processes on the line
- Prioritise and agree allocation of tasks within Technical Operator Team
- Machine fault identification, diagnosis and rectification (where applicable)
- Confirm and prioritize production activity in line with production plan
Requirements
- Basic numerical and literacy knowledge
- Manual dexterity
- Basic communication skills

- Positive attitude and willingness to drive change within operational environment
Qualifications
- Desirable previous experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of manufacturing environment and HACCP and safe systems of work
- Understanding of zonal Key Performance Indicators (production targets, waste levels and line performance)

Schedule
Monday - Friday 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm, alternate weeks
