Relief Operator - 2nd Shift

Shift: 2nd, Hours: 12:00pm–8:30pm. Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.

About the role

This Relief position involves multiple roles in Production, including HTST (High Temperature, Short Time) and Blending Operator, CIP (Cleaned in Place) Operator, Filler Operator, Blow Mold Operator, raw receiving, loading and unloading case trailers, and providing breaks and lunches to fill in for full shifts as needed. You must follow all safety and sanitary policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate HTST and Blending equipment, including reclaim processes
• Perform CIP (Cleaned in Place) operations
• Operate filler and blow mold machinery
• Handle raw receiving, loading, and unloading of case trailers
• Provide relief coverage for breaks and lunches, filling in for full shifts as needed
• Follow all Safety Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Perform basic math skills and organoleptic testing (sensory evaluation using taste, smell, touch, and sight) on finished product
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma, General Educational Development (GED) certificate, or international equivalent

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms
• Must be able to reach, bend, extend, and lift 50–60 pounds
• Push and pull stacks of products weighing up to 200 pounds
• Perform organoleptic assessments requiring acute ability to taste, smell, see, and feel product samples to detect deviations in flavor, aroma, color, and texture
• Physically able to consume and evaluate a wide variety of food ingredients, including potential allergens (e.g., dairy, wheat, soy, nuts) processed in the facility

Work Environment

• Work in cooler rooms with varying temperatures and potential contact with water or dairy liquids
• Exposure to noise levels up to 90 decibels (moderate to high noise environment)
• Wet and slippery work conditions
