About the Role
As a Relief Operator in the Dyeing department, you will provide breaks to line operators and perform various tasks to support department operations.
Responsibilities
- Fill in for and give breaks to operators as needed
- Learn the correct procedures for all job tasks
- Perform other tasks as needed by the supervisor
- Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
- Follow all established standard operating procedures
- Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
- Perform other tasks assigned by management
Requirements
- High School education or GED preferred
- Previous Dyeing Experience preferred
- Work experience or equivalent training providing knowledge of basic rules, procedures, or operations
- Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions and interpret department operating standards
- Basic mathematics and weight measurement skills
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication abilities
- Lift truck certification
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
Physical Requirements
- Ability to continuously lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to walk long distances, climb ladders, and stand for long periods
- Bending, crouching, reaching, kneeling, and stooping may be required
- Close vision, depth perception, and color perception required
- Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled facilities
- Work environment is a noisy, high-traffic production floor
- May be required to work a flexible schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Willingness to work in all types of weather
