Relief Operator - 2nd Shift

2nd shift: 12:00 pm – 8:30 pm. Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Pay

Hourly rate: $23.00 per hour.

About the Role

The Relief position covers multiple production roles. Duties include operating HTST (High Temperature, Short Time) and Blending systems, CIP (Clean-in-Place) equipment, fillers, blow mold machines, raw receiving, loading and unloading case trailers, and providing break/lunch coverage for full shifts as needed. All work must follow safety and sanitary policies and procedures.

• Follow all Safety Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Perform basic math skills
• Perform organoleptic testing (sensory evaluation of taste, smell, touch, and sight) on finished product
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

High school diploma, General Educational Development (GED) certificate, or international equivalent.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must be able to reach, bend, extend, and lift 50–60 pounds. The role also requires reaching and handling dairy products and pushing and pulling stacks of products weighing up to 200 lbs. Frequent organoleptic assessments are required, demanding the acute physical ability to taste, smell, see, and feel product samples to detect deviations in flavor, aroma, color, and texture. The employee must be physically able to consume and evaluate a wide variety of food ingredients, including potential allergens (e.g., dairy, wheat, soy, nuts) processed in the facility.

Work Environment

The work environment may require working in a cooler room with varying temperatures and may include contact with water or dairy liquids. Noise levels reach 90 decibels; the environment is usually moderate to high noise. Wet and slippery conditions are present.
