Relief Medical Administrative Assistant
Job Summary
The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of moderately complex medical and clerical work in support of the unit operations. This position requires cross training of clerical front office and medical support services. Clinical responsibilities include assisting medical and nursing staff in support of client care such as but not limited to obtaining vital signs, giving injections, and responding to medical emergencies. Clerical duties may include but are not limited to involve facilitating client flow and monitoring processes such as inventory control, clinical chart audits, report running, billing, record keeping, and scheduling via inter- and intra-agency Electronic Health Records. This position requires the use of initiative and independent judgment. Occasionally travel may be required between sites and performance of both clinical and clerical duties.
Education Required
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Licenses and Certifications Required
- Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Certified Medical Assistant.
Experience Preferred
- Knowledge of office procedure, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and arithmetic.
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
- Working knowledge of computers.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to follow instructions (written procedures and oral instructions).
- Skills in word processing, spreadsheet, and database computer applications.
- Ability to prepare and maintain records, files, and reports.
- Bilingual in Spanish (desirable).
Salary
$21.66 an hour.
