About the role
VCA Far Country Animal Hospital is seeking a relief, Licensed Veterinary Technician with experience and diverse, small animal skills.
Responsibilities
- Create a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients
- Support Doctor teams by providing outstanding client experience
- Perform physical examinations and patient assessment
- Anesthesia monitoring
- Surgical preparation and assisting
- Dental procedures
- Radiology
- Laboratory work
- Catheter placement
- Pharmacy management
- Patient recovery
- Compassionate care of hospitalized animals
Requirements
- Current CVT, RVT, or LVT license
- Experience in small animal medicine
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of veterinary equipment and supplies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a veterinary technician program
- Experience in a veterinary setting

Pay
Compensation: $22-$32 per hour, dependent on experience and licensure.
Schedule
4/10’s with some Saturdays.
