Relief Fryer Operator - Weekend Nights

About the role

Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career-driven, and customer-focused team. We are currently recruiting for a Relief Fryer/Peeler Operator to join our manufacturing professionals in Hanover, PA on our new Weekend Night Shift.

Schedule

Friday to Sunday, 5:25 PM – 5:55 AM.

Responsibilities

• Inspect peeled potatoes and trim defects to control quality of raw potato input to fryer.
• Operate potato chip fryer in relief of regular operator, including preparation for start-up and shut down.
• Carry out all necessary daily and weekly sanitation procedures for either peeler or frying area.
• Change and set blades.
• Perform all necessary duties to prepare peeler/slicer or frying system for production start-up.
• Operate peeler/slicer system to maintain sufficient supply of properly peeled and sliced raw potatoes for fryer operation.
• Report all quality or mechanical problems to the supervisor.
• Work proactively in a cross-functional team with diverse groups of people.
• Work in a safe manner at all times and communicate any safety issues to supervisor.
• Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
