Relief Emergency and ICU Veterinary Technician or Assistant

About the role

The role at TVRH is a comprehensive one, encompassing various medical specialties including surgery, emergency care, radiology, internal medicine, cardiology, oncology, rehabilitation and pain management, and neurology. We are seeking a dedicated veterinarian to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Treatment of a wide range of medical conditions in small animals
• Performing surgeries under general anesthesia
• Assisting with emergency cases and critical care
• Conducting diagnostic imaging using X-rays and ultrasound
• Managing complex medical cases requiring specialized treatment
• Collaborating with other specialists within the hospital
• Providing after-hours coverage as needed

Requirements

• A Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an AVMA-accredited institution
• Current licensure to practice veterinary medicine in North Carolina
• Experience in at least two of the following areas: surgery, emergency care, radiology, internal medicine, cardiology, oncology, rehabilitation and pain management, or neurology
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Passion for providing high-quality care to small animal patients
