Position Summary
Perform backup functions, such as selling, merchandising and servicing Eagle Rock products for Account Managers who are away from their routes temporarily. This is a sales trainee position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Solicit products in a defined route area while operating a company vehicle.
- Product is counted and ordered in each account into a laptop using the Encompass software package.
- Manage, rotate and maintain a neat inventory in each account.
- Must sell sufficient product inventory to eliminate out-of-stock situations.
- Seek and develop positive working relationships with our retail partners.
- Identify new opportunities to grow our existing portfolio.
- Develop and implement sales promotions to encourage distribution and product growth.
- Establish a close working relationship with all retail partners.
- Maintain strong lines of communication with Driver to execute daily duties and merchandising expectations.
- Operate company vehicle safely and according to policy.
- Actively supports the Companys mission and vision philosophy.
- Attends all required Company meetings.
- Employee initiates and actively participates in personal growth and development plans.
- Works with all co-workers to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintains security and confidentiality of all Company information.
- Understands and complies with all Eagle Rock Distributing Company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Education/Experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
- Subject to all Company policies regarding all employment testing, including drug screen.
- Must have a current, valid drivers license and be insurable
- Must be 21 years or older
Skills
- Strong sales and customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong knowledge of product characteristics
- Ability to distinguish between brands through taste testing/sampling
- Ability to speak clearly, read, write, and understand the English language
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Requires the ability to work independently, exercising sound judgement and initiative.
- Ability to deal with problems involving multiple solutions in standardized situations.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation range: $45,000-$48,000 annual
(Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon route, geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level)
