A Day in Your Life
As a Reliability Test Engineer at IPM/IPS/MSS, you will partner with cross-functional teams to drive reliability activities, generate, develop, and execute Reliability Plans for each project, embedded with the engineering team, and provide daily reliability support for associated projects.
You Will Make an Impact By
- Generate, develop, and execute Reliability Plans for each project.
- Embedded with the engineering team and provide daily reliability support for associated projects; perform reliability tasks per Reliability Plan.
- Lead and perform product qualification testing, including functional testing, reliability, and durability testing (HALT, life test, etc.).
- Work with the team to drive and/or perform various reliability analyses – e.g., reliability predictions (modeled and field), reliability allocation, Design FMEA/C, Weibull, warranty analysis, etc.
- Work with other team members to develop, build new reliability test stands and fixtures, and improve existing reliability and life test stands/fixtures and equipment.
- Perform root cause analysis for product failures.
Travel Requirements
Up to 20% travel is required.
Skills You Bring
- BSEE or BS engineering.
- MS is a plus.
- 2+ years' test engineering and/or reliability test engineering in electronic or electromechanical, or mechanical field.
- Test and test development experience with electronic or electromechanical systems.
Preferred Skills
- Familiar with HALT, HASS, and Life test methods.
- Familiar with Relex and Weibull++.
- Laboratory/ hardware/software design knowledge/experience, and preferably Python, and other programming languages.

- Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
- Operates in a professional office and/or laboratory/manufacturing environment.
- Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards including handling mechanical and electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heat.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary Pay Range: $71,025.00 - $118,375.00 per year.
- This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
- Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS.
