Responsibilities
- Performs complex equipment setups that other operators may not be qualified to perform; demonstrates intermediate understanding of lab tools with some outside assistance and oversight.
- Operates production equipment as time and production needs arise; monitors operations for quality and process compliance.
- Maintains the quality of work being performed in the area; applies sound judgment to recognize deviations from accepted practices and keeps team on track.
- Addresses equipment downtime issues with the appropriate parties (Equipment Technician, Process Engineering, Management, etc.) to maximize overall equipment effectiveness (OEE); works on semi-routine assignments with increasing independence.
- Serves as a member on cross-functional project teams.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. required; Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Semiconductor Manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
- A minimum of 3 to 4 years' experience in semiconductor manufacturing or a similar industry.
- Intermediate understanding of how to read and interpret Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts; ability to recognize trends and deviations and take appropriate action.
- Proven skills: Strong work ethic and a quality-first mindset; ability to recognize deviations from accepted practices and act as a quality agent.
- High attention to detail; must be very organized, apply sound reasoning, make timely decisions, analyze issues, and develop solutions.
- Ability to direct the work of others with some supervision.
- Excellent visual acuity.
- Proficiency with computers and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel); familiarity with lab or manufacturing software systems a plus.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks; self-starter with some supervision.
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently.
- Ability to learn to operate new tools with minimal training.
- Ability to process documents and keep meticulous records; ensures data accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to organize and maintain a safe and clean workplace.
- A high degree of hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity is required (must be able to manipulate small, delicate samples with small tweezers while observing under a microscope).
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9120 or TS16949 is a plus.
