Responsibilities
- Develop expertise in vibration analysis and other predictive maintenance (PdM) technologies to improve equipment reliability.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret PdM data, providing recommendations for preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Evaluate equipment, expand monitoring programs, and support the implementation of long-term maintenance strategies.
- Manage customer requests, work schedules, and maintenance work order backlogs independently.
- Troubleshoot complex equipment issues and provide technical guidance to maintenance teams, engineers, and equipment owners.
- Lead meetings, communicate findings and recommendations, and ensure follow-up on action items.
- Maintain equipment records, predictive maintenance procedures, KPIs, and databases such as Emerson AMS, UE Systems Ultratrend, and SAP CMMS.
- Support reliability initiatives, including mechanical integrity, root cause analysis, maintenance strategy development, risk-based maintenance, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in equipment reliability, maintenance, engineering support, or a related field.
- Ability to obtain Level 2 certification in multiple Predictive Maintenance (PdM) technologies; certifications in vibration analysis, ultrasound, thermography, or similar are an asset.
- CMRT (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician), technical degree/certificate, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with experience performing root cause failure analysis on industrial equipment.
- Solid knowledge of industrial equipment operation, maintenance, and reliability best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across operations, maintenance, engineering, and management teams.
- Strong organizational, planning, time management, and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasks.
- Proficiency with computer systems and the ability to learn PdM tools, CMMS software, and reliability databases.
- Ability to work safely in industrial environments, including wearing PPE, climbing stairs/ladders, entering confined spaces, and working in noisy, hot, or outdoor conditions.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including occasional overtime, on-call duties, and support for night or weekend operations as needed.
