Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair PIT equipment including lift trucks, golf carts, electric pallet jacks, articulating lifts, scissor lifts, floor scrubbers, and related equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on PIT equipment and document completed work.
- Monitor and record operational data, including equipment hour meter readings and utility meter readings.
- Maintain PIT battery charging stations, including housekeeping, watering, cleaning, inspections, and reporting deficiencies.
- Inspect battery station hoists, gantries, lifting beams, and related equipment.
- Perform general facility maintenance tasks involving buildings, grounds, offices, and common areas.
- Carry out routine safety and environmental inspections and support compliance initiatives.
- Aid higher-level maintenance technicians with equipment repairs, troubleshooting, lubrication, painting, job-site preparation, tool and parts handling, confined space watch, and hot work watch activities.
- Operate PIT equipment safely in support of maintenance activities.
- Report equipment issues, safety concerns, and improvement opportunities to supervision in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years of post-secondary education in an industrial maintenance related field, or equivalent experience, preferred.
- One to two years of industrial maintenance, mechanical, or related technical experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of equipment maintenance, power transmission components, mechanical systems, tools, measurements, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to use computers for work order documentation, parts requisitioning, and data collection.
- Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, reach, and work for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently.
- Must be available to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-ins as required.
