About the role
The Reliability Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for improving and sustaining the mechanical reliability of plant equipment in a sand processing facility. This role focuses on proactive and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting chronic issues, and implementing long-term solutions on key assets such as the dryer, mills, conveyors, pumps, and screening equipment. The Reliability Mechanic works closely with operations, maintenance, and EHS to maximize equipment uptime, reduce unplanned downtime, and support a safe, efficient, and stable process.
Responsibilities
- Proactively maintain and repair plant machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Identify and address recurring equipment issues through preventative maintenance strategies.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and EHS teams to enhance overall plant efficiency and safety.
- Implement and monitor long-term solutions for critical plant assets.
- Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar maintenance role.
- Proficiency in using common maintenance tools and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of relevant vocational training or certification in mechanical maintenance.
Skills
- Knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Experience with maintenance procedures and protocols.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and controls.
