About the Role
This role is based on-site at a customer facility. You will directly coordinate, schedule, and participate in work with the customer to comply with the partnership agreement. As part of a team, you will use your knowledge to develop, operate, and manage Condition Monitoring programs for John Crane’s clients.
Responsibilities
- Collect routine Condition Monitoring data, conduct first-line analysis, and reporting.
- Partner with the team’s Engineer to capture advanced data and participate in troubleshooting.
- Operate and develop Condition Monitoring programs for John Crane clients in conjunction with the Lead CM Engineer.
- Conduct routine Condition Monitoring surveys at clients’ premises.
- Analyze routine vibration data.
- Report Vibration and Oil Analysis results along with associated corrective maintenance recommendations.
- Interface with the client for the on-site delivery of Condition Monitoring services.
- Conduct periodic on-site Pump Performance Testing and reporting.
- Calculate the cost benefit of carrying out recommendations using a defined process.
- Work within the requirements of the Integrated Management System.
Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Engineering Technology degree preferred and/or equivalent and relevant work experience with rotating equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Vibration Analysis ISO 18436-2 Category 2, or equivalent required.
- Lubrication Analysis ISO 18436-4 Category 2, or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience preferred in vibration analysis for condition monitoring of rotating equipment (pumps, compressors).
- Experience with mechanical seals is a big plus.
- Proficient with computers, MS Office, and specialist vibration monitoring software.
- Preferred skills include thermography, rotor dynamics analysis, laser alignment, and electrical tests.
- Experience working in a diverse environment with a global company is a plus.
Locations
Candidates can be based in: Wilmington, DE; Swedesboro, NJ; Philadelphia, PA; or Houston, TX. Relocation may be provided for the right candidate based in the US.
