Reliability Engineer/Professional I/II

Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, and analyze equipment performance and maintenance data from systems such as Maximo, production databases, and process control systems.
  • Assist in identifying reliability improvement opportunities through data analysis and equipment performance reviews.
  • Support equipment failure investigations by gathering information from maintenance records, operating data, inspections, and team interviews.
  • Participate in root cause analysis activities and help develop corrective action recommendations to prevent recurring failures.
  • Aid in the development and maintenance of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability.
  • Assist with maintenance task reviews and help evaluate equipment maintenance requirements based on equipment history and operating conditions.
  • Track reliability and maintenance performance metrics such as downtime, Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on reducing equipment downtime and improving maintenance effectiveness.
  • Support spare parts optimization efforts through data collection and analysis of equipment criticality, usage, and lead times.
  • Work closely with maintenance, operations, and engineering personnel to identify and implement reliability improvements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of analyses, recommendations, and improvement activities.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of reliability engineering concepts and maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems; Maximo preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Exposure to root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Willingness to learn manufacturing processes and reliability best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma with 5 years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or reliability.
  • Associate's Degree in a technical field with 2 years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or reliability.
  • High School diploma with 7 years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or reliability.
  • Associate's Degree in a technical field with 4 years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or reliability.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field with 2 years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or reliability.
