Reliability Engineer
About the role
Perform semiconductor engineering design, development, and testing for firm products and devices in conjunction with product development for the electronic communications industry.
Responsible for developing methods for reporting statuses, results, metrics, recommended solutions and improvements, and help needed with the intent of achieving approval from Business and Quality Management.
Support new product introduction (NPI) and ensure all quality and reliability procedures and requirements are followed and met. Apply quality and reliability procedures and requirements, as well as other core team processes and procedures.
Collaborate with core teams and subject matter experts to apply problem-solving solutions.
5% international travel required (Netherlands, Germany, Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan, and China) for NPI/NTI project activities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement semiconductor engineering designs and testing methodologies.
- Report statuses, results, metrics, and recommended solutions to achieve business and quality management approval.
- Support new product introduction while ensuring compliance with quality and reliability procedures.
- Apply problem-solving solutions in collaboration with core teams and subject matter experts.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or foreign equivalent).
- Knowledge gained via graduate-level coursework, internships, or related occupation in the following areas:
- Production, inventory, and quality control
- Survey of Optimization, Engineering Data Analytics/Databases, and Computational Tools
- Line balancing, Lean Manufacturing Principles, and Quality Control
- Statistical Process Control using Principal Component Analysis (PCA)
- Software tools such as R, SQL, and Python
- Inventory Management and Lean Engineering
- Advanced Quality and Statistical Process Control
Pay
$111,717 per year.
