Overview
Handshake is seeking experienced professionals in the energy industry to contribute to AI research through flexible, hourly contract work. This role does not follow a traditional employment model. You will leverage your practical experience with industrial operations, plant performance, and energy asset management to assess AI-generated content and offer insights that enhance AI's understanding of operational workflows and performance engineering practices.

- Project-based, ongoing opportunity suitable for adding to existing commitments.
- Remote work with a flexible, asynchronous schedule with no minimum weekly hours required; typical participation is 5–20 hours per week during active projects.
- Placement based on current project requirements, with potential for consideration for future projects as they arise.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of professional experience in industrial operations, plant performance, or energy asset management, including roles such as Plant Performance Engineer, Reliability Engineer, SCADA Engineer, Drilling/Production Engineer, Generation Asset Analyst, or equivalent positions in the energy sector.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following tools: AVEVA PI, WinCC, Oracle MDM, Power BI, Bloomberg Terminal.
- Strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and asynchronously with AI research teams.
