Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, design and installation of predictive maintenance programs and technology applications.
• Analyze maintenance data to identify trends in equipment performance.
• Drive the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Conduct analysis/investigations and provide leadership to others in Failure Mode & Effects Analysis & Root Cause Analysis.
• Ensure the results from this analysis become the basis for the applicable Equipment Maintenance Strategies.
• Manage the company’s Mechanical Integrity (MI) Program.
• Support plants in the field implementation of all the above strategies.
• Provide technical support and involve asset subject matter experts and suppliers/vendors as needed.
• Represent the West Coast plants and actively participate in the Reliability Network meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Mechanical engineering preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant maintenance and reliability experience, preferably in a chemical, petrochemical, or refinery production plants.
• Travel (30-50%) to support Reliability Network for activities in the West Coast and in the Network.

• API and ASME Codes and Standards
• Failure Modes and Effects Analysis
• Formal Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) training/certification
• SAP experience
• Proven analytical troubleshooting/problem-solving skills
• Detail oriented, data-based decision maker
• Strong, clear, and concise communication (written and verbal)
• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP)
• Certified Reliability Leader (CRL)
