Responsibilities
- Conduct Root-Cause and Root-Cause Failure Analysis (RCA, RCFA).
- Implement Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS).
- Analyze asset system performance, including asset utilization, remaining useful life, and other parameters defining operating condition, reliability, and costs.
- Develop and monitor asset management strategies.
- Apply value analysis to repair/replace, repair/re-design, and make/buy decisions.
- Track utility spending with a Continuous Improvement mindset for overall plant cost reduction opportunities.
- Provide documentation and on-site training for maintenance and engineering personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or 5+ years of experience working with industrial equipment within a manufacturing plant.
- Experience in defining, collecting, and analyzing data for equipment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD with the ability to read mechanical and electrical blueprints/schematics.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience working with Enterprise Asset Management and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
Qualifications
- Experience with Maximo is nice to have.
- Possession of a Master Electrician License is advantageous.

Pay and Schedule
- The pay range for this position is $40.86 - $57.70/hr.
- This is a first shift role (7am-4pm).
Schedule
- This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kalamazoo, MI.
Work Environment
- Located in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the facility focuses on processing and distributing aluminum products.
- The 480,000 sq ft facility is highly automated, clean, and operates advanced extrusion and casting machines that can reach temperatures of 2,000 degrees.
- The dress code is casual due to the hands-on nature of the work, which may involve getting dirty.
- This is a first shift role (7am-4pm), and the team primarily supplies to automotive, consumer, industrial, and medical device markets.
