About the role

Responsible for creating, implementing, and monitoring Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) programs.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safety, training, and performance of all assigned employees, including contractors
  • Work closely with equipment suppliers, plant staff to ensure the successful operation of the plant
  • Maintain and monitor reliability-based systems, including preventative maintenance systems, vibration analysis, and condition monitoring
  • Create preventative maintenance routines (PMRs) and bills of materials (BOMs) for new equipment
  • Manage preventive/predictive maintenance programs (Inspection, Vibration, Oil Analysis, NDT, thermography, etc.) to ensure optimum equipment availability
  • Analyze and eliminate repetitive problems through root cause analysis, Pareto analysis, statistical review, FMEA, and similar techniques
  • Support and guide sustainable improvements in Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) of major equipment
  • Facilitate continuous improvement processes around equipment availability and reliability
  • Provide ongoing reports on the CBM program status
  • Facilitate the process of gathering input and facilitating task completion through others
  • Research solutions to technical problems
  • Coordinate SAP system operations in the area of preventative maintenance routine (PMR) optimization and development with maintenance planners
  • Provide technical support, training, and development for maintenance functions with a specific focus on entrenching reliability concepts within the maintenance group
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering
  • Supervisory experience in the industry
  • CBM Certifications preferred
  • Experience in FFT analysis of vibration spectra on a range of heavy industrial plants
  • Experience in the practical application of FMEA, NDT inspection techniques preferred
  • Working knowledge of instrumentation, process controls, motors, starts, and VFDs preferred
