Release Engineer

About the role

The role is responsible for the deployment, release, and maintenance of cloud-based applications and services across platforms such as Azure and AWS. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable cloud solutions and ensure smooth transitions of code from development to production.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines with security and quality gates.
• Provision, configure, and manage cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• Lead and execute release engineering tasks for cloud services, ensuring compliance with security policies.
• Act as a gatekeeper in the infrastructure and application lifecycle, ensuring code integrity and quality.
• Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth releases.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding release status, issues, and improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide global cloud architecture initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience: 0-5+ years of experience in release engineering and cloud infrastructure.
• Technical Skills: AZ 104 Certification and Terraform experience are required. Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD processes, git workflows, and programming concepts is necessary.

Qualifications

• AVD or AZ 140 certification preferred.
• Experience with AWS preferred.
