About the role
The Relationship Manager is responsible for the overall satisfaction of assigned advisors. Serves as the primary point of contact to resolve inquiries, client service issues, and liaison for advisors to reach other department subject matter experts at FocusPoint.
Responsibilities
- Respond to advisor questions and requests in a timely manner
- Build and maintain good relationships with advisors through delivery of exceptional service
- Conduct regular meetings with each assigned advisor via telephone, video conference, or face-to-face meeting
- Educate and assist advisors to utilize available tools and resources provided by FPS to run a more efficient practice
- Work with custodians to resolve issues or questions on behalf of advisors
- Provide guidance and assistance to advisors
- Ensure trade requests are processed accurately and timely
- Ensure custodial paperwork is complete and accurate to avoid delay with account set-up
- Ensure accounts are set up accurately in FPS’ system(s) as well as with custodian
- Ensure billing is processed accurately and timely
- Provide training and mentoring to RM Support Specialists as needed
- Seek referral opportunities of new business for the company when available
- Support management and team with special projects and other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of a High school degree or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience in finance or investment related fields
- Minimum of 2 years of client relationship management or customer service experience
- Proficiency with software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines in a timely manner
- Flexible and able to quickly learn new procedures and methods
- Dependable and a team player who can maintain confidentiality and work independently
- Ability to prioritize workload and effectively contribute to group requirements
- Ability to exercise independent judgment, initiative, and tact in dealing with others to maintain effective working relationships with other employees and clients
- Ability to travel as needed for client meetings
