About the role

As a Commercial Relationship Manager, you will be primarily responsible for making and servicing a wide variety of business and individual loans, both secured and unsecured, which are complex in nature. You will handle larger, more profitable customer relationships within the department and provide subordinate officers with functional guidance.

Responsibilities
- Identify new prospects and develop new business opportunities using your business savvy.
- Recommend products and services to clients to help them enhance their business.
- Use financial acumen and analytical skills to understand data and make informed decisions.
- Apply credit acumen to make recommendations for deal approval, structuring loans, mitigating and identifying risk, and complying with regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 – 7 years’ experience in a commercial lending environment.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of commercial lending practices, loan documentation, and loan servicing requirements.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Demonstrated capacity to sell products/services within the financial services industry.
- Advanced understanding of credit underwriting, documentation, loan policy, and regulations.
- Advanced knowledge of financial analysis including ratio and trend analysis and projections.
- Specialized knowledge of specific markets to serve defined territories.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver persuasive oral and written reports and presentations.
- Good PC skills including knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.

- Office environment with occasional travel.
