Position Summary
The Relationship Development Specialist may be structured as either a part-time non-clinical role or a full-time hybrid role for a clinician interested in expanding beyond direct clinical work.
- Part Time (Non-Clinical): Ideal for an individual with experience or interest in business development or outreach coordination.
- Full Time (Hybrid: Clinical Caseload + Outreach & Development Responsibilities): While maintaining a clinical caseload, this individual will support sales and outreach efforts for Centers of Excellence programs and Pillars of Wellness at large.
Business Development & Outreach
- Complete a high-volume outbound calls and emails to potential referral sources, partner organizations, employers, healthcare providers, and community stakeholders.
- Identify, qualify, and initiate leads to generate new client referrals and strategic partnerships.
- Initiate strong relationships with referral partners including medical offices, schools, EAP providers, community agencies, and local businesses.
- Clearly communicate agency services, specialties, and Center of Excellence programs (scripts will be provided).
- Schedule introductory meetings/emails for Growth and Development team with qualified prospects.
- Maintain detailed records of outreach activity, pipeline progress, and follow-ups in tracking systems.
- Collaborate with marketing to align messaging, campaigns, and promotional efforts with outreach goals (all marketing materials provided).
- Represent the agency professionally in outreach efforts.
- Contribute to growth strategy discussions with leadership.
Preferred Experience
- Preferred experience in business development, client acquisition, outreach, or account management (healthcare or behavioral health experience preferred).
- Strong phone presence and confidence making outbound calls.
- Professionalism in email correspondence.
- Proven ability to build relationships, handle objections, and spark partnership opportunities.
- Self-motivated with goal-oriented mindset and comfort working with performance metrics.
- Excellent verbal communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
- Ability to manage a lead pipeline and track activities using outreach systems.
- Professional, polished presentation in both phone and in-person interactions.
Clinical Licensure (Full-Time Hybrid Role Only)
- Master’s degree and associate or Independent License (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LPC, Psychologist, etc.) preferred but not required for part-time non-clinical applicants.
