Relationship Banker - Westfield/Carmel Banking Center
About the role
The National Bank of Indianapolis is seeking a Relationship Banker to join the Westfield/Carmel Banking Center team. This role involves building and strengthening client relationships, opening new accounts, identifying banking solutions, and providing exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Open and maintain personal and business deposit accounts while ensuring a seamless client experience
- Build strong client relationships by identifying financial needs and recommending appropriate Bank products and services
- Research and respond to client inquiries, providing accurate information on products, services, and rates
- Serve as backup on the teller line and assist with branch activities
- Support daily Banking Center operations by assisting with customer service representatives and performing daily balancing and operational procedures
- Process credit card and loan requests within established lending authority
- Absorb and resolve client questions through Banno Chat and assist in resolving service issues
- Participate in business development efforts with current and prospective clients
- Provide backup support for Banking Center leadership as needed
Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Two years of teller or Customer Service Representative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is preferred. Previous experience opening new accounts is helpful. Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. Computer proficiency and familiarity with banking systems are required. Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities are also necessary.
